Inside the program

Live Online classes, three to five students

Every session is live and project driven. Your child builds something in the session itself, with an instructor close enough to notice when they are stuck before they have to say so.

  • Three to five students, so there is no back row

  • Hands-on from the first session, rather than watching

  • The instructor knows what your child made last week and what they find hard

beginner to certification

A comprehensive curriculum that takes your child from complete beginner through to an industry recognised Python certification. Every level builds on the one before it

  • Python Coding Fundamentals

  • Game & Animation

  • Data analytics with Python week

  • AI with Python

  • Capstone project and certification Preparation

Skills that carry into any career

Coding is the vehicle. Our program is designed so your child develops four skills that matter whatever they end up doing.

  • Critical Thinking - Solving complex problems

  • Creativity - Designing new solutions

  • Collaboration - Working in a team

  • Communication - Explaining ideas clearly

Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

Does my child need any coding experience?

No. Most students start with none. The first sessions assume nothing, and students who have done Scratch at school will find the first two weeks familiar rather than repetitive.

What year levels is this for?

Years 7 to 12 or any participant above 12 years old & above

How long is a course?

Ten weeks, one hour a week, at the same time each week. New group cohorts start at the beginning of every month and one-to-one sessions can start any week.

Do classes stop during school holidays?

What times do classes run?

Usually weekday evenings and weekend mornings. Current cohort times are listed above. One-to-one is arranged around your child's timetable.

Ten weeks, one hour a week, at the same time each week. New group cohorts start at the beginning of every month and one-to-one sessions can start any week.

How will I know how they are going?

No. Classes run straight through. If you are away, see the missed-week answer below.

Common Concerns

My child is not strong at maths. Does that matter?

No. Coding at this level is logic and problem solving rather than arithmetic. Students who find maths hard often do well here, because the feedback is immediate: the computer tells them straight away whether something worked, and they can try again.

What if they do not enjoy it?

Come to the first session. If your child does not want to continue after it, tell us and we refund the full amount.

Can I use my Creative Kids voucher?

Yes. we are an accredited Creative Kids provider. Share your voucher code when you register and it comes off the total.

My child is shy in a group. Will they cope?

Small classes make this easier than it sounds. With three to five students the instructor gets to know your child properly, and our instructors are trained to draw quieter students in rather than wait for them to volunteer.

What we see is that shy students build confidence gradually, as they take part in activities and start explaining what they have built. The class is set up so that happens at their own pace. If you would still rather start privately, one-to-one is available as a delivery option
